Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Letterhome is a small mail service operating from Canada. This policy explains what we collect when you place an order, how we use it, and when we delete it.

What we collect

When you place an order, we collect:

How we use your information

Your information is used to fulfil your order:

Data retention

The content of your letter and any attached documents is deleted from our systems within 7 days of mailing. We keep a basic order record — date, amount, and your email address — for the period required by Canadian tax and accounting regulations. We do not retain the text of your letter or recipient details beyond the 7-day window.

Third-party services

We use Stripe to process payments. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy. We use Canada Post to deliver physical mail. Beyond these, no third parties have access to your order information.

Order review

Each order is reviewed by a person before printing. The review checks for problems that would prevent delivery (incomplete addresses, unreadable PDFs, bad file uploads) and for obvious abuse signals (orders that appear fraudulent or contain prohibited content). It is not a content review of your message. Letter content is not read, summarised or shared, and is deleted along with the order files within 7 days of mailing.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing hello@letterhome.ca. We will respond within 30 days.
